The Trees And The Wild

Any way to get there: Students take a wooden boat through flooded farms to get to school in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Tuesday. The first thing that I noticed in this photograph was the trees. (Antara/Sahrul Manda, link)

Smoldering: Mount Sinabung spews lava and volcanic ash as seen from Tiga Kicat, North Sumatra, Indonesia, early Tuesday. The volcano has sporadically erupted since September, forcing thousands of people who live around it slopes to flee to safer areas. While this is not a good news for the people living there, I can't help admiring how nature works in this photo. (AP/Binsar Bakkara, link)
